Many of us make chocolate eggs on Easter, but originally eating eggs was not allowed by church leaders during the week leading up to Easter (known as Holy Week).
So any eggs laid that week were saved and decorated to make them Holy Week eggs, that were then given to children as gifts.
From a Christian perspective, Easter eggs are said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least the 13th century although the bible makes no mention of Easter Bunny or Easter eggs

Method:
For cream cheese spread:

In another bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar(1 tbsp) and mix till it is smooth
Now add the Cream cheese to the whipped cream and mix well and keep aside
For the Egg shells:
Melt the compound chocolate.
Using the brush, give 3 coats of chocolate on the mould and refrigerate it for 5 min after every coat.
Then take out chocolate shell from the mould and fill with desired filling. Join the two halve. Here I joined in two method
By applying the melted chocolate on both edges of the two halves and press slightly to join. Make sure , not to apply too much pressure. As it might break the egg shell.
By slightly heating the pan and place one half of the egg for 1-2 seconds and join to the other half. Slightly press to join
You can give desired designs and filling.. Please refer the video below for the designs and filling I used in this recipe............
